Overview
Belt Creative is seeking a versatile Webflow Website Designer & Developer to join our team. This role uniquely blends the responsibilities of both a Web Designer and a Web Developer—requiring proficiency in UX/UI design, component-based design systems, and front-end Webflow development. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, web strategists, SEO experts, and other team members to create user-friendly, visually engaging, and technically sound websites that help our clients stand out online.

Reports To: Project Manager (Performance Evaluation & Project Objectives)
Works Closely With: Web Strategists, Senior Web Developers, SEO Experts, Project Managers
Position Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
1. Web & User Experience Design
Figma-Based Design: Create wireframes and high-fidelity website designs in Figma, focusing on clear, engaging layouts and intuitive user flows.
Component-Based Design Systems: Develop reusable components and design libraries that streamline the design process and maintain consistency across projects.
User-Centered Approach: Incorporate UX best practices to ensure seamless, accessible, and intuitive website experiences.
2. Web Development & Technical Execution
Website Builds in Webflow: Translate Figma designs into responsive, high-quality websites using Webflow, ensuring alignment with brand standards and visual mockups.
Interactions & Animations: Implement custom code, animations, and interactions in Webflow to enhance user experience and deliver polished final products.
Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing to ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues before launch.
Quality Control: Review projects thoroughly to maintain Belt Creative’s standards for performance, design accuracy, and overall functionality.
3. Collaboration & Project Support
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with web strategists, SEO experts, senior developers, and project managers to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet strategic goals.
Client Communication: Present design concepts to clients, gather feedback, and refine solutions based on input—maintaining transparency and alignment with project objectives.
Design Handoff & Support: Prepare finalized designs and documentation for development and assist with revisions or updates throughout the implementation process.
4. Design System & Component Library Management
Design System Development: Build and maintain component libraries, typography, and color schemes to support efficiency, scalability, and branding consistency.
Documentation & Maintenance: Keep style guides and usage instructions up to date in Figma, ensuring clear communication and streamlined collaboration with developers.
Scalability & Adaptability: Plan design systems that adapt to future project needs and evolving brand guidelines.
5. Technical SEO & Accessibility Compliance
SEO Integration: Work alongside SEO experts to implement essential technical SEO elements (meta descriptions, alt tags, structured data) within Webflow builds.
Accessibility Standards: Incorporate best practices (alt text, focus states, semantic HTML) to create inclusive, user-friendly websites.
6. Professional Development & Continuous Learning
Skill Enhancement: Stay current with Webflow updates, Figma features, UX trends, and emerging best practices.
Team Knowledge Sharing: Participate in team meetings, provide feedback on design and development processes, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
Figma Expertise: Proficient in creating wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and component-based design systems within collaborative design workflows.
Webflow Expertise: Demonstrated experience building responsive websites in Webflow, including the use of CMS, interactions, and custom code.
Graphic & Visual Design: Strong sense of color theory, typography, and layout, with an ability to produce cohesive visual identities and supporting graphic assets.
UX Knowledge: Familiarity with user-centered design principles, ensuring intuitive site structures and seamless digital experiences.
Front-End Fundamentals: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to handle customizations within Webflow.
SEO Awareness: Understanding of on-page SEO best practices and how to structure websites for optimal search engine visibility.
Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work closely with diverse teams—excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey design rationale and development progress.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to design and development, ensuring final deliverables meet project standards and client expectations.
Problem-Solving: Resourceful mindset for troubleshooting technical and design challenges, with a proactive approach to finding and implementing solutions.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position reporting to the Project Manager, responsible for performance evaluation and project objectives. You’ll collaborate regularly with Web Strategists, Senior Web Developers, SEO Experts, and Project Managers to produce top-tier websites that reflect Belt Creative’s commitment to excellence.
